Acculis exhibits at ANZHPBA
Oct 7, 2008
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the Conference on “Surgical Conditions of the Liver: Assessment, Management and Outcomes” to be held at the Hyatt Regency Coolum on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
The meeting is convened by the ANZHPBA in association with the AGITG (Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group).
A very knowledgeable international faculty has been assembled consisting of Markus Büchler from Heidelberg, Germany, James Garden from Edinburgh, Merv Rees from Basingstoke, Ibrahim Dagher from Paris and Paul Greig from Toronto, all surgeons. I’m very pleased that the group of visiting surgeons will be complemented by Nigel Hacking, a radiologist from Southampton, UK and a strong local faculty from both the ANZHPBA and the AGITG.
A challenging programme has been designed to stimulate significant discussion and hopefully to identify some gaps for further investigation in a rapidly progressing area of clinical endeavour.
With this in mind the days have been designed to allow some free time for informal interaction and I trust this time will be well utilised. There will be a welcome barbecue on the Sunday evening and the Conference dinner on Tuesday evening.
For both of these events special wines will be supplied to showcase the capabilities of Australian viticulture.
The programme has been stratified to cater for selective individual day attendance if desired. The first 2 days focus on the liver and metastatic disease in addition to some sections on accumulating evidence.
The third day is dedicated mainly to hepatocellular cancer and the fourth day to surgical technique.
Please come and visit us at our booth.
